Do you know a child/adolescent who was born in the U.S. to immigrant/refugee/asylee parents or who came to the U.S. at a young age who would benefit from having a mentor?

In this program we match Go-Betweener™ young adult mentors with Go-Betweener™ children and adolescent mentees of the same (or similar) language, culture, and country-of-origin/ancestry.

The adult Go-Betweener™ mentor can provide the following to the child/adolescent:

• Be a healthy, stable, and positive role model
• Be somebody she/he can look up to
• Be a source of encouragement and motivation to help the child/adolescent reach life-goals and dreams

How does Culture Connect’s mentoring program differ from programs offered by other agencies?
Culture Connect matches children with immigrant/refugee/aslyee backgrounds with mentors who have a similar background, making them uniquely qualified to work with the younger generation. The children/adolescents feel that this is somebody they can relate to and somebody who understands what it is like to "go between" the different cultures and languages.
